• Thirty one years as systems Test Specialist for The U.S. Navy and FAA.

Trouble shoot, evaluate, align and oversee installations and overhauls of complex Navy and FAA systems including:

Power generation and Distribution systems including DC, 60hz & 400hz power to 10,000 Volts and large scale uninterpretable power conditioning systems to one megawatt.

Hydraulics systems including 80,000 ton Aircraft elevators, automated supply transfer from storage to receiving ship and into receiving storage, Aircraft Carrier steering engines and aircraft arresting gear.

Optical landing system (FLOLS) utilizing Sins (Shipboard inertial navigation system) information to project a stable reference beam to guide landing aircraft to the deck from 2500 feet out.

Pilot Landing Aid TV, a broadcast quality recording system to gain high resolution recordings of landing craft for pilots to study and improve their landing techniques.

Evaluation, adjusting and acceptance of motors, pumps and generators for silent running onboard submarines.

Rich has been working with Koi for 15 years. He served as President of the San Francisco Bay Area Koi Club for 3 years and is currently their Program Director. He is also a member of Sacramento Koi Club.

Rich has helped numerous hobbyists with their ponds and consults on pond systems. He is currently developing a new system to the hobby. This filter system will continue to be his lab to research and to use for future study and development.
